“Cocktails” at the Printer!

Shot a last photo for a self promotional piece called “Cocktails” that will go out to potential clients in the next month or so.  It’s the “Bloody Maria” below.  The book was put together in Lightroom 4.0 and uploaded directly to Blurb, where the prototype is being printed.  I’ll check the sample out and make any changes before printing multiples to be sent out to the folks I’d like to shoot with.

If you haven’t already, you should take a look at Lightroom.  I’ve been beta testing for awhile and the peeps at Adobe just keep improving the program.  Two new modules in version 4, “Books” & “Maps”.  Maps ties in w/ Google maps to link your photos to the locations where they were shot.  If you got a call for stock of Yellowstone, you could bring up the park on Google maps and there would be a balloon w/ the number of shots you’d taken in the different locations you shot at in the park.

There is also a new 2012 “process” that really makes RAW files look good.  It’s free to download an try, so why not?

EDIT:  Regarding maps, I should also have mentioned when you click that Yellowstone balloon in my example, the shots come up as a collection.  You can then select any shots that fit the stock request.  It’s all about finding work in you catalog fast, and LR now has a new way of using location as a search parameter.
